Is it okay to vent to God?

Since God already knows your innermost thoughts, I'm sure God won't mind listening to your troubles if you want to talk. On the other hand, Jesus said to avoid negative thoughts, so if you can change your attitude so you don't need to vent, that would likely be even better.
